    PORTLAND, Ore., July 16 WellMed, Inc., the leading
provider of online consumer health management tools, today announced a
licensing agreement with Ford Motor Company .  The WellMed Personal
Health Manager is now accessible to 170,000 U.S. employees and their families
through the Ford Model E program from home or from work via the Internet.

    Ford employees and their families now use personal computers to access and
receive important information about corporate initiatives, health, finances,
benefits and continuing education.  WellMed's suite of tools is now a part of
the online health resources made available to Ford employees, and will expand
Ford's existing health initiatives that include summer safety, men's and
women's health, cancer awareness and mental health.
    The WellMed Personal Health Manager enables Ford employees and their
families to assess, record and improve their health on a daily basis.  It
includes general and gender-specific health risk assessment tools that cover
past health issues, family history and lifestyle habits; a secure location for
individuals to create, gather, and store health records; a source of
educational information on conventional and alternative treatment options for
important health topics such as allergies, asthma, depression, diabetes,
cancer and stress; and interactive, self-paced programs designed to assist
individuals in achieving positive, healthful change such as quitting smoking,
improving nutrition and fitness or preparing for a healthy pregnancy.  Ford
employees and their families can also receive health information and reminders
by e-mail if they so choose.
