Nissan Nixs Peugeot Diesel Engines

TOKYO — Japan Today reported that Nissan Motor Co has decided to halt diesel engine procurement during the current fiscal year from PSA Peugeot Citroen of France for its automobiles for sale in the European market, industry sources said Saturday.

The Japanese automaker will instead procure diesel engines for the first time from Renault SA of France, its largest shareholder and a rival of PSA Peugeot Citroen, the sources said.
