Jeff Gordon, No. 24 Dupont Chevrolet Monte Carlo: "I'm just thrilled to beat Todd (Bodine). We were outrunning him on the racetrack, but it was a tough day. We fought hard today to get from way back there in the field to the front. All we needed was a little bit better track position. We had one of the fastest cars out there. I'm real proud of these guys with the Dupont race team. We've got to figure it out and make sure it doesn't happen any more. We're going through a tough time now, but as long as we're tied for th points lead, we'll take that.

"I'm looking forward to Loudon and to every track we race at. But right now, I'm going to focus on our test session in Indianapolis coming up on Monday and Tuesday. And then we'll gear up. The guys at the shop are working hard getting us ready for New Hampshire. We've got to do something there. We've got to make up a little bit of the ground that we lost here."
