or manual bar code scanning to determine the approximate location of assets

state-of-the-art Real-Time Locating Systems, GE Fanuc’s customers will know 
the location of any tagged asset within an accuracy of 10 feet.  The 
WhereNet solution has already been proven by some of the world’s largest
