"The creation of a direct sales force will greatly enhance our ability to sell and service ISR FleetTrack," said ISR president Yukie Novick. "Mr. Rasulo's experience uniquely qualifies him to lead us in this effort." He added that ISR plans to maintain its independent wireless products distributor sales channel. "ISR FleetTrack is the superior GPS product on the market today because of its diverse functionality," said Rasulo. "The choice of communications methods, including a dual module offering, and options such as credit card swipe, barcode scanner, and robust data to and from the vehicle, are in tune with what today's market demands from an AVL system." The ISR FleetTrack uses GPS (Global Positioning System), a satellite-based system. GPS provides three-dimensional positioning information, velocity readings and time information to show the location of a fleet of vehicles and their movements. Data can be viewed on a computer screen in real-time or saved for playback later. The system also enables communication between the vehicle driver and dispatcher through a CDPD (Cellular Digital Packet Data) wireless network, or a host of other communications options. ISR FleetTrack notifies dispatchers when a vehicle deviates from a planned route, leaves a specified zone, or is standing still for more than a predetermined time period.
