                              in analyst report

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., July 12 SupplySolution, Inc., the
leading provider of supply chain execution applications for manufacturing and
supplier organizations, has been recognized as an early entrant in providing
hosted supply chain services in the AMR Research Report on Supply Chain
Management titled "The Hosted Supply Chain Emerges in B2B," authored by AMR
Research analyst Robert Ferrari. SupplySolution has gained significant market
advantage as a hosted supply chain solution provider and today announces that
the company's premier service, i-Supply, is in operation at over 1,100
companies.
In the research report, dated April 2001, Ferrari writes, "The ability of
suppliers to share and transmit critical supply chain information and
participate in electronically driven processes is the key to a successful e-
market. A new breed of Application Service Provider (ASP) software, which we
term hosted supply chain, addresses the specific needs of mid-market companies
that are struggling with extended supply chain information connectivity,
process integration and collaboration."
The report also predicts the growth of the overall market for hosted
supply chain (HSC); projecting a growth from $73 million in 2001 to $1.4
billion in 2004.
SupplySolution is named as an example of the current model of an HSC, one
that has "initiated on the premise of providing more near-term meaningful
benefits by providing connectivity and context to extended supply chain
process. Their value proposition is the ability to support Business Community
Integration (BCI) across flexible and changing supplier and trading networks
that form or reconstitute themselves to support changing products and
services," notes Ferrari.
In the report's assessment of current hosted supply chain vendor's
functionality, SupplySolution's applications and infrastructure ranked as one
of the most complete offerings. Several vendor packages were evaluated on
criteria such as XML/EDI integration platform, extended order visibility,
inventory visibility, demand forecasting coordination, product planning
coordination, consolidated MRP coordination and replenishment planning. Other
companies and technologies assessed included SeeCommerce's SeeChain v4.0,
Eventra's Vendor Site, i2's Pronto and Oracle's Supply Chain Management
Exchange.
Supply Solution's suite of hosted supply chain technologies include i-
Supply, i-GetIt and the SupplySolution Global Infrastructure. i-Supply is a
real-time direct material fulfillment application, providing suppliers,
manufacturers and distributors with instant information from their customers'
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or other legacy systems, allowing them to
effectively manage inventories and work collaboratively with their supply
chain partners. i-GetIt is the technology platform that solves the
requirement for real-time, secure data extraction and/or delivery of data to
and from ERP, Supply Chain Management (SCM), Customer Relationship Management
(CRM) and legacy systems. SupplySolution Global Infrastructure addresses the
requirements for real-time messaging and message transformation, data/content
management, user profiles, views and transaction management.
To date, over 1,100 companies have selected SupplySolution's technology
offerings to address their supply chain event, exception and execution
collaboration needs. Current customers include Lear Corporation, Tower
Automotive, Faurecia, Freudenberg-NOK and Dana Corporation. In March 2001,
SupplySolution was selected by Covisint, the automotive industry's e-business
exchange, as the exclusive service provider of supply chain event, exception
and execution applications and infrastructure.
"AMR's support of SupplySolution's presence and leadership in this space
reflects the success that our offering has had in the manufacturing industry,"
said SupplySolution president and CEO Chris Moritz. "We are looking to
continue our successful deployment of effective hosted supply chain
applications, as well as rapidly introduce additional functionality to address
other critical supply chain needs affecting manufacturers."
