Royal Financial Corporation Has Approved the Change of Its Name to Patriot Motorcycle Corporation and Has Authorized a 1 for 10 Reverse Stock Split

    CORONA, Calif., July 12 Royal Financial Corporation
(OTC Bulletin Board: ROYF) announced today that it has changed its name to
Patriot Motorcycle Corporation effective July 10, 2001.  The company's stock
symbol will remain unchanged until consent is received from the NASD for a new
symbol.  In addition, the company has authorized a one for ten reverse stock
split.  The split shares will begin trading effective Friday July 20, 2001.
    Michel Attias, President of Royal Financial Corporation, stated that, "As
part of the company's branding program and to more closely reflect the
company's new focus and current business interests the company has changed its
name to Patriot Motorcycle Corporation."
    Mr. Attias added that, "As part of the company's plan to build long term
value for shareholders, we have also authorized a recapitalization of the
company's common stock is being completed.  The Board of Directors has
determined that the reverse split will allow the company to establish itself
in its industry and give management time to demonstrate to investors that the
company is doing its best to pursue a business model that would allow for long
term earnings growth and the development of shareholder value."

    Patriot Motorcycle Corporation is focused on building and acquiring
operating companies to serve the rapidly expanding markets for personal

line of popular custom motorcycles targeting the mid-price buyer.  All
