GM Schedules Second Quarter Earnings Release and Webcast

General Motors has scheduled the release of its second-quarter 2001 consolidated financial results for 8:00 a.m. EDT, Tuesday, July 17, 2001, via PR Newswire and GM Media Online (http://media.gm.com).

General Motors Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer John Devine will conduct a conference call at 9:30 a.m. EDT. Question-and-answer sessions with financial analysts and the media will follow a brief review of the second-quarter results. The call is expected to last approximately 90 minutes.
