Macek Named CFO at Hella North America

Macek Named CFO at Hella North America

    PLYMOUTH, Mich., July 10 Edward Macek has been named vice
president and chief financial officer for Hella North America, Inc., according
to Joe Borruso, president and chief executive officer.
    A former executive at Johnson Controls Inc. (JCI), Macek most recently was
corporate controller and treasurer of Technotrim, Inc., an automotive joint
venture between JCI and Tachi-S.  He replaces Chuck Koenig, who is retiring
after 21 years of service with Hella.
    Macek's background includes experience in manufacturing financial
management and public accounting with extensive work in company start-ups,
joint venture formation, finance function development both in the U.S. and
Mexico, treasury and banking, risk management, and tax and business planning.
    Prior to joining JCI, he served in various financial management positions
with Hoover Universal, Inc. in Ann Arbor, MI; Hoover was acquired by JCI in
1985.  He began his business career as an auditor with Peat, Marwick, Mitchell
and Company and subsequently worked as an audit supervisor with Coopers &
Lybrand.
    A graduate of Cleveland State University, Macek also is a certified public
accountant (CPA).  He resides in Ann Arbor with his wife, Linda, and son,
Mark.
    Hella is a tier one supplier of lighting, electronic equipment, sensors
and complete vehicle front-end modules to the auto industry.  Hella North

employees at more than 49 production locations in 16 countries throughout the
