Goodyear Announces Second Quarter 2001 Financial Release Date, Conference Call

    AKRON, Ohio, July 10 The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company will
report second quarter 2001 financial results at 8 a.m. EDST on Monday,
July 23, to be followed at 10:30 a.m. by an investor conference call.
    Participating in the conference call will be Samir G. Gibara, chairman and
chief executive officer; Robert J. Keegan, president and chief operating
officer; Robert W. Tieken, executive vice president and chief financial
officer, and Stephanie W. Bergeron, vice president and treasurer.  They will
review Goodyear's second quarter results.
