Robertson goes 'Hot 'n Spicy' for Johnsonville

HICKORY, N.C. - Wisconsin based Johnsonville Sausage, the world's leading producer of fine bratwurst, has announced a three race
sponsorship deal with driver Toby Robertson and TWR Motorsports in the USAR Hooters ProCup Series South Division. The agreement
will feature Johnsonville's new line of "Hot 'n Spicy" Bratwurst on the side of Robertson's Chevrolet Monte Carlo beginning with the
Kroger 250 at New River Valley Speedway on July 21, and will extend through the next two USAR South events in Hickory, N.C. and
South Boston, Va. The move provides an added dimension for Team Johnsonville Racing, as driver Shane Huffman will continue to run
the familiar mustard and maroon Johnsonville colors on his XTRA Motorsports Ford Taurus.

"We've been watching Toby's progression both as a driver and a person, and have been duly impressed," said Randy Wilhoit, Business
Manager (Carolinas) for Johnsonville Sausage. "We are pleased to partner with a professional organization such as TWR, and even
more so with a driver like Toby. From the time this idea evolved, he and his team were our first choice and we are confident of the
manner in which they will represent Johnsonville."

"Shane and I go back a long way and both of our shops are located in Hickory," said Robertson. "We've always been tough
competitors, but have maintained a positive relationship, so when the Johnsonville guys came to us with this idea it wan an
automatic. We're happy to be partnered with a sponsor who is so deeply involved in the USAR Series, and look forward to being a
part of Team Johnsonville Racing."

After a somewhat rocky start to their 2001 Miller Lite "Rookie of the Year" campaign, Robertson and TWR have been on a steady climb
up the USAR South Division point standings and are currently tied for 14th, coming off of a career best fourth place finish at
Montgomery Motor Speedway Saturday night.
"We've been close to signing a couple of deals this year, and we're still seeking a primary sponsor," said Robertson. "I feel like this Johnsonville program will give us some experience in that type of a relationship and hopefully gain us some added exposure as
well. It's a win-win situation for both parties."

Goodson Sees Run End Early in Alabama; Looks to Jennerstown to Gain Track
Experience

Winston-Salem, N.C., (July 9, 2001) -- Hal Goodson entered this past
weekend's USAR ProCup Series race at Montgomery (Ala.) Motor Speedway on a
hot streak. The Darlington, S.C. native's good fortune would take a turn
south, however, as he was collected in an incident on lap 120 of the Miller
Lite 200. Goodson would have to settle for a 28th-place finish, but was able
to hold onto the points lead. Goodson now leads Bobby Gill by nine points.

"It just wasn't our night," Goodson said. "All I saw was smoke and my
spotter told me to go high, and all of a sudden the No. 56 shot back up the
track and there I was. The impact caused damage to the front of our car,
which resulted in us having engine problems. I hate it for the guys on the
crew because they worked really hard to give me a good car. We were a little
tight there at the beginning of the race, but I think we would have been in
contention."

Goodson started the No. 45 Carlin Financial Chevrolet Monte Carlo for Taylor
Motorsports from fifth position and quickly found a comfortable line to run
around the track. After pitting during the middle stages of the event,
Goodson's crew made changes to the car to loosen it up. Just as he was
working his way back to the front, Goodson was collected in the accident.

"It was just one of those nights," Crew Chief Colan Ingle said. "The car was
a little tight at the start, but we had made some changes during the pit
stop that I think would have helped the car. Lady Luck just wasn't on our
side this past weekend, but we'll put this behind us and get ready for the
next race."

The next event for Goodson and the team is this weekend at Jennerstown
Speedway in Jennerstown, Pa. for the running of the Lucas Oil 250 USAR
ProCup Series Northern Division race. The team will use the race as a test
for when it returns to the track in September for the "Four Champions
Challenge" race.

"We wanted to run this race so we will have a baseline to work with for when
we come back up there in September," Goodson said. "Since we aren't running
for points in the Northern Division, our goal is to gain track time and
learn what setup works best around the track."

USAR ProCup Series qualifying for the Lucas Oil 250 at Jennerstown Speedway
is set for 5:00 p.m. EST. The field gets the green flag two hours later at
7:00 p.m. EST.

KINDER MOVING UP!

July 7, 2001 Montgomery, Alabama: USAR Pro Cup driver John Kinder, is moving up fast! His 5th place finish at Montgomery this last weekend, has improved his stats substantially.

Entering the Montgomery race Kinder, statistics for the season stood at an average qualifying position of 15th and average finish of 17th, but, the last three races he has earned an average starting position of 11th and 11th in average finishing position for a 60%+ improvement. The 5th place finish will also move him up in the overall point standings. Clearly the Greenville based team is moving in the right direction.

"The guys gave me a good car to run at Montgomery. Although we are still a little down in the engine department, the car handled very good all night. I just cannot say enough about all the dedication and hard work, the crew does to keep us racing. With no primary sponsor, it is tough. The crew works on a volunteer basis with no compensation, and few dollars to even pay for lodging so, they commute. This trip had to be really tough on the crew as they departed the shop Friday night, arrived in Montgomery about 10 PM then bunked down 4 to a room, for a few hours and were at the track when the gates opened at 8 AM. Then, they worked a full day in the Alabama heat and man was is hot, and after the races drove over 350 miles home arriving back in Greenville at 5 AM! That is dedication and I cannot say enough about how much I appreciate their support. Without them, I would not be able to race" Kinder said.

"It was great to see the team finish in the top 5, and it is just a matter of time before John and the crew sit in victory lane." Said Jim Kinder, father of the young driver who hails from Santa Ana, California.

Next race July 21, Radford, Virginia. The Montgomery race will be televised Thursday July 12 at 9 PM eastern on Speedvision.

Sarvis Sees Victory Slip Away In Montgomery, Finishes 7th

Jason Sarvis and the RBR Team watched a victory slip away Saturday night in Montgomery, AL. Sarvis, who ran strong all day, qualified 2nd for the Miller Lite 200. "We developed a miss in the motor during the 1st fifty laps and dropped several positions", said Sarvis. "We found a plug wire hitting the manifold and got it fixed without going a lap down. We lost a lot of positions but our crew made it up in the pits. These guys made a great pit stop and got us back up front." Sarvis ran strong during the last half of the race, working his way up to the 3rd position. With about 25 laps remaining, Sarvis made contact with Mario Gosselin who was running 2nd at the time. "We did not mean to make contact with Gosselin, he had slowed down as a result of a flat tire. I was on the brakes trying to miss him but I had no where to go. We got the black flag and were sent to the rear of the field as a result of the contact and that probably cost us the race." Sarvis had to come from the back of the field with about 20 laps remaining but ran out of time. He brought the #92 Monte Carlo home in 7th place. "We had at least a 2nd place car tonight but we are happy to come out of here with another top 10 finish. We really wanted to make a strong showing here tonight to hopefully attract a sponsor. Our sponsorship deal with Bryant Heating and Cooling Systems ended last weekend but we hope to continue our partnership with them in the near future," said Rick Benton. In the last 5 races the team has finished 4th at Indianapolis (IN), 2nd at Myrtle Beach (SC), 8th at Coeburn (VA), and 7th in Montgomery (AL). This event will be aired on Speedvision Thursday night at 9:00pm. The next event will be in Jennerstown, PA on July 14th.
