(Mooresville, NC) Jeff Green, driver of the No. 10 Nestlé Nesquik Ford Taurus, will not be driving his trademark bright yellow Nesquik car at the Watkins Glen event on July 8, 2001. Instead, Green will showcase a bright blue Nestea car to commemorate the launch of new Nestea Iced Tea Liquid Concentrate by Nestlé.

"Nestea is a part of the Nestlé beverage family and is an associate sponsor of our program," said Green. "We ran two Nestea cars in 2000 and the program was such a success, they wanted to participate again this year, especially to support the introduction of new Nestea Liquid Concentrate.”

Nestea Liquid Concentrate can be mixed with cold water to make up to four quarts of refreshing iced tea. Uniquely packaged in an easy-to-measure and easy-to-pour 16-ounce plastic bottle, it’s 100% natural with no artificial colors, flavors, additives or preservatives, and comes in three popular flavors: Lemon, Raspberry and Green Tea with Honey.

"We chose Watkins Glen to feature the Nestea car because the race falls at the peak of the summer iced tea season,” said Joanne Crawford, Director of Promotions for the Nestlé USA Beverage Division. We’re hopeful the special paint scheme will generate awareness and interest in our new Nestea product by our loyal NASCAR fans.”

Green feels confident about his chances of success while driving in the blue Nestea car, despite the stellar success he's had in the bright yellow Nesquik car.

"I think it is pretty cool having different paint schemes throughout the year," said Green. "Last year we ran the Nestea car at Loudon and the Dover spring event where we finished second and fourth respectively, so I feel good about running the Nestea car at Watkins Glen. I'd like to continue the streak of posting top-fives in that blue car.”
