MARDY LINDLEY LOOKS TO MAINTAIN POINTS LEAD

JENNERSTOWN, PA - Mardy Lindley has tasted victory in USAR Hooters ProCup
competition in previous seasons.  Ironically, the Taylors, S.C. driver is
this year's point leader, but winless.  He'll be on a mission to not only
protect his points lead, but win his first race of the season on Saturday,
July 14, at Jennerstown Speedway.

Standing in his way will be Sean Studer from Concord, N.C.  Studer missed
the first two USAR Hooters ProCup Northern Division races, including the
April 14th feature at Jennerstown Speedway, but will be the favorite to win
the Lucas Oil Products 200 when the ProCup series returns to Jennerstown.
 
Studer has won three of the four races he's entered in his #71 Winners
Circle Marketing Chevrolet Monte Carlo, but due to the two missed events,
he ranks only 14th in the Northern points standings.
 
"Sean's been the front-runner, no doubt," says Lindley, "but he's certainly
not unbeatable.  We've been working hard, but it will be a battle. There
will be a lot of good cars there."
 
Some of the top Southern Division teams are also expected to enter the
200-lap race at Jennerstown Speedway, mostly because they'll want to get a
feel for the place before Round 2 of the of Hooters Pro Cup Four Champions
Championship Series race Sept. 29.
 
"I think we've got an advantage because we ran Jennerstown in April," says
Lindley, who finished fourth in the April race behind Stacy Puryear, Donnie
Hill and Mike Herman Jr.  "It's a good track for these cars and we'll put
on another good show.  I just plan on winning this time."
 
Lindley may need to win one in his #01 Aloe Lu Ya/Big Fan Racing.com Ford
in order to keep his points lead.  Brian Vickers of Thomasville, N.C., is
only 48 points behind Lindley, and that's despite a 24th place finish in
the first Jennerstown ProCup race.

Spectator gates will open at 4 p.m., with Hooters ProCup time trials at 5
p.m., and an autograph session at 6 p.m.  The Lucas Oil Products 200 is set
for a 7 p.m. start, and will pay $10,000 to win.  Tickets will be available
at the gate. Adults are $20, ages 12-15 are $10 and under age 12 are free.
