BREA, Calif., July 3 American Suzuki Motor Corporation

June 2000 sales, selling 7,076 units. Strong June sales contributed to an
eight-percent increase for the first half of 2001, totaling 34,105 units.
Suzuki small SUV sales posted 5,586 units in June, a 61-percent increase
over the previous year, thanks to the new XL-7, the first affordable small SUV

month and year-to-date.

buyers," said Gary Anderson, vice president of automotive sales. "We've
always offered great value in each of our models, and with skyrocketing
gasoline prices around the U.S. last month, our increased sales show that more
Americans know Suzuki cars and SUV's are both stylish and fuel-efficient buys.
