    SOUTHFIELD, Mich., July 5 Federal-Mogul Corporation
is leveraging its strategic relationships with the National Hot
Rod Association (NHRA) and the Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance, Inc., to fuel
the growth of the company's Fel-Pro(R) gaskets and Sealed Power(R) engine
parts brands.

    Federal-Mogul has partnered with the Alliance, one of the world's largest
parts-buying organizations, in a nationwide promotion that will award a
variety of exclusive racing-focused prizes -- including an expenses-paid trip
for two to the NHRA World Finals in Pomona, Calif. -- to a qualifying
technician or engine rebuilder who has purchased Sealed Power(R) engine parts
and/or Fel-Pro(R) gaskets through any Auto Value/All Pro/Bumper to Bumper auto
parts store.
    Sealed Power is an official brand of NHRA.  This is the first marketing
relationship of its kind between an engine components manufacturer and the
world's largest motorsports sanctioning body.  In addition, Federal-Mogul is
partnering with NHRA in several promotions and special programs to involve
automotive engine rebuilders, technicians and other aftermarket professionals
in NHRA's 50th Anniversary celebration.  One of these programs, the Sealed
Power "Power Team," enables engine rebuilders and technicians to earn a
variety of exclusive NHRA 50th Anniversary premiums simply by relying on
Sealed Power engine parts.

Auto Value/All Pro/ Bumper to Bumper "Pit Crew Challenge," which offers one
free entry for every purchase of a Sealed Power or Fel-Pro product at an Auto
Value/All Pro/Bumper to Bumper store between June 25 and August 31, 2001.
    The grand-prize winner will become an honorary member of NHRA legend John
Force's pit crew during the NHRA Finals at Pomona Raceway, November 9-11,
2001.  The two-person prize package includes airfare, accommodations, food and
event tickets.
    The promotion also will award three exclusive, custom-embroidered Sealed
Power NHRA 50th Anniversary leather jackets as second prizes and 10 numbered
collector's sets of full-color, embossed and foil-stamped NHRA trading cards.
The trading card sets, the first ever created for NHRA, are available
exclusively through Sealed Power -- no sets will be offered for sale to the
public.
    Force, who pilots the Castrol GTX Ford Mustang, is the only NHRA Funny Car
driver to win 10 season points championships, including seven consecutive
titles from 1993 to 2000.  He also was the first Funny Car driver to eclipse
the 320 mph barrier, running 323.35 at the 1998 Mopar Parts Nationals.
