PACCAR Announces Increased Build Rates
BELLEVUE, Wash.--July 5, 2001--PACCAR will be increasing its Class 8 truck production build rate of its Peterbilt division by 8%, effective July 16. The company will also be increasing the build rate of its Class 6/7 trucks manufactured at its Ste. Therese, Quebec, facility by 22%, effective August 6. Mark Pigott, PACCAR chairman and CEO, commented, "The build rate increases reflect increasing customer demand for our industry-leading products. Kenworth and Peterbilt medium-duty conventionals have earned the J.D. Power and Associates'(Note A) top honor for the last two years.
