SDRC and Spicer Transmission of Spicer de Mexico Establish Relationship

Order includes Metaphase(R) software and related services to
establish a new streamlined Product Definition System (PDS)
within their Transmission Division
SDRC , today announced a relationship with Spicer Transmission Division (STD) of Spicer de Mexico, located in Queretaro, Mexico. The relationship includes an initial order valued at $600,000 for SDRC's Metaphase(R) product knowledge management (PKM) software and related services to create a new product development system to improve STD's engineering and design capabilities. SDRC and its key business partner in Mexico, Grupo TACC, will utilize their combined resources to provide support and assistance to Spicer de Mexico.
Spicer Transmission Division of Spicer de Mexico is a prominent supplier of automobile products, primarily for high performance cars and trucks. STD is deploying Metaphase to approximately 300 users in one year, at three sites in Mexico and the United States. STD will deploy Metaphase for change management and to manage product structure data (including the bill of materials), to provide access to released product definition, to enable a paperless product definition process, and to foster collaboration among its various product development sites.
