WOODSIDE, TEAM WALKER MOTORSPORTS COLLECT
SECOND POLE AND ADD TOP TEN FINISH


July 2, 2001 (North Hollywood, Calif.) - Sean Woodside, driver of the #45
Team Walker/Ron's Rear Ends/NAPA Chevrolet in the NASCAR Winston West
Series, and the team were very happy after the second practice session last
weekend at Evergreen Speedway.

It was clear after that the team had prepared a fast car, and Woodside felt
confident as he headed onto the track for his qualifying laps. It was no
surprise to him or anybody on the team when he set fast time for the day,
his second Bud Pole Award this season with Team Walker Motorsports.

Woodside held the lead for 67 of the first 75 laps of the 200-lap event,
relinquishing it just briefly during a restart. A problem in the car's
electrical system surfaced, which plagued the car's performance until it
lost power on lap 125.

A quick assessment of the problem by the team put Woodside back out on the
track in short order. Although the repairs took care of the electrical
problem, Woodside re-entered the competition four laps down. He finished the
race in 10th place.

This weekend's finish allowed Woodside to overtake sixth place in the point
standings. He and the team have steadily inched up in the point standings
throughout the season.

Team owner Donna Walker said, "We continue to work toward that first win for
Team Walker Motorsports. In the meantime, we have won two pole awards, and
we have collected four top-five and five top-ten finishes. We have led quite
a few laps. These results are good, considering we are competing in our
first full Winston West season."

Woodside said, "That car was just incredible in the first half. The
electrical problem cost us track position, of course, but we were all right
once we were back out there. I'm just happy that we were able to inch ahead
a little bit, rather than letting the problem push us back."

Team Walker Motorsports co-owner Mike Walker qualified in 9th place Saturday
night in Irwindale's Super Late Model division and was running in eighth
place when he was collected in an accident. The team was able to repair the
car and put Walker back into the event, and he finished in 17th place.

Former Featherlite Southwest Series driver Sean Monroe piloted Woodside's
Super Late Model car at Irwindale, finishing in 13th place.
