USF Holland Named LTL Carrier of the Year by International Paper

    HOLLAND, Mich.--July 2, 2001--USF Holland Inc., a regional carrier unit of USFreightways Corporation, announced today that it has been named Inter-Regional LTL Carrier of the Year award for 2000 by International Paper. The award is one of three given by International Paper as part of its annual LTL Carrier Recognition Program.
    To qualify for the Inter-Regional Carrier Award, a carrier must handle over 45,000 shipments per year serving more than 50 International Paper facilities. Measurements include service standards, number of IP facilities served relative to shipment activity, feedback reports from facilities, claims filed, and timeliness of reporting.
