LEASE GUIDE: 2001 RESIDUAL VALUE AWARDS

    SANTA BARBARA, Calif., July 2 Automotive Lease Guide's
(ALG) annual award honors those vehicles in each segment predicted to retain
the highest percentage of their original price.  The awards are arrived at
after a careful study of segment competition, historical vehicle performance
and industry trends.  Award winners are featured on ALG.com, Automotive
Digest, and other automotive sites dedicated in bringing the industry's best
performing models into the public eye.
    
Heading the list for the third year in a row is the Honda Motor Company
with three segment winners in the Acura MDX for the Compact SUV Segment, the
CRV for the Sub Compact SUV Segment and the Odyssey for the Mini Van Segment,
a repeat winner for the past three years.

Sharing top honors with Honda is Toyota Motor Company, who produced three
segment frontrunners in the Tacoma for the Compact Truck Segment, Sequoia for
the Full Size SUV Segment and the Tundra for the Full Size Truck Segment, also
a repeat segment leader from last year.

Other repeat winners from the 1999 and 2000 Residual Value Awards include
the Luxury Car Segment's Mercedes CLK, the Compact Car Segment's Volkswagen
Beetle, and the Volkswagen Passat for the Mid Size Car Segment.  New additions
to this year's Residual Value Awards include the Porsche 911 for the Sports
Car Segment, and the BMW 3 Series in the Near Luxury Segment.
    "Residual Value performance has been a very important topic this year and
to focus attention on the industry's best performing models is timely," said
ALG's Vice President, Raj Sundaram.
