PHOENIX, Arizona - Darren Law has a perfect track record at Road America, and he plans on keeping it that way. Law and the G&W Motorsports team started and finished first in the Grand American Road Racing GT class last year at Elkhart Lake.

Law is looking forward to turning in another first place finish with his teammate, Matt Drendel in the #81 Motorola/Commscope/Valley Group/G&W Motorsports Porsche GT3-R.

"We are looking forward to Road America," Law said. "We've had really good luck in Elkhart Lake. We are hoping to repeat our efforts from last year."

Law and the G&W team favor the Road America track. The G&W team has an effective race strategy that works in their favor for long races.

"This track is excellent for the Porsche because of its smooth, fast corners," Law explained. "The length of the track and the race helps us also. Hopefully those factors will help us take first place again."

G&W team owner, Cole Scrogham, is also looking forward to returning to the 4-mile, 14-turn course.

"The length of the track makes our pit strategy easier," Scrogham said. "Since the track is so long, it makes it less difficult to get a lap down if you make a mistake, unlike a short track where a few seconds can cost you a lap."

Law is confident his team will return to the victory podium when the 500 miles are complete. He credits his confidence to his team.

"The guys have done a great job prepping the car this year," Law said. "They give 110% at each race. It's comforting to know that all my effort in the car is being matched by the guys in the pits."

Law, the current Grand-Am GT class points leader, is looking to extend his driver points lead when the checkered flag falls at the Road America 500 on Sunday, July 8, at noon in Elkhart Lake.
