Motion Industries Promotes David Tallant to National Manager

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--June 28, 2001--Motion Industries, the world's largest distributor of bearings; mechanical, electrical, and fluid power transmission replacement parts; and hose products, has promoted David Tallant to the position of national manager for linear motion control products.
    "With this promotion, we are very pleased to recognize a fine linear specialist," Motion Industries senior vice president of marketing Ralph Buntyn said. "Since joining Motion Industries more than three years ago, Dave has been a valuable asset to our field of linear motion specialists."
    As national manager for linear motion control products, Tallant will coordinate all aspects of Motion Industries' linear motion control efforts as well as provide support for the linear motion control program nationally. He will continue to maintain his office at Motion Industries' Charlotte, North Carolina location.
    Tallant has served as Motion Industries' Southeast Division linear motion specialist since 1998. Prior to joining Motion Industries, he worked with Star Linear Systems (Mannessmann Rexroth Company) and THK America, Inc.
