Motion Industries' Columbia, Tenn. Branch Honored as Quality Saturn Supplier

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--June 28, 2001--Birmingham-based Motion Industries' Columbia, Tenn., office was recently honored by Saturn Corporation with a Quality Achievement Award at the 2000 Saturn Supplier Recognition Ceremony. Motion Industries was one of 202 suppliers to meet the stringent quality criteria to achieve this honor.
    "We are honored for our Columbia, Tennessee, branch to be recognized as a Saturn quality supplier," Motion Industries CEO and President Bill Stevens said. "The entire branch team is deserving of this recognition."
    Each year Saturn recognizes those suppliers whose accomplishments have contributed to Saturn's success. This year marks Saturn Corporation's tenth anniversary.
    "It's been a long road, reaching this milestone event," Saturn vice president for purchasing Bill Hurles said to the suppliers in attendance at the recognition ceremony. "One of the primary objectives in coming together here today is to recognize our suppliers' accomplishments in helping us succeed."
