ESG Adds Ronald Turkett to Strengthen Strategic Consulting Group and Further Lean Transformation / Six Sigma Commitment

    SOUTHFIELD, Mich.--June 28, 2001--The Engineering Services Group (ESG), a Southfield, Michigan-based provider of integrated manufacturing solutions, announced that it has named Ronald Turkett Executive Director of Strategic Consulting.
    Turkett brings to ESG over 40 years of senior level experience, having improved the manufacturing operations of companies in the United States, Europe and Mexico. In addition to leading the day-to-day operations of the Strategic Consulting Group, Turkett will manage strategic consulting and lean transformation projects and play an integral role in cultivating new business opportunities.

    A certified Six Sigma Black Belt, Turkett's distinguished career includes six years at Toyota Motor Manufacturing, where he gained an understanding of world class manufacturing and the renowned Toyota Production System (TPS). He also led the implementation of Lean and Six Sigma at Delphi Automotive Systems and Allied Signal Automotive. Other career accomplishments include assisting in the development of the Ford Production System and over 20 years at General Motors in various positions. He also serves as an adjunct lecturer in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma for the University of Michigan College of Engineering.
