FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - June 27, 2001

An exciting weekend of activities is in store for motorcycle enthusiasts
attending the AMA and World Superbike road races at The Honda International
Superbike Classic presented by Parts Unlimited, Dunlop and McGraw Insurance
Services at Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey, California, July 6-8, thanks to the
weekend's sponsor American Honda.

Honda's plans include the co-promotion of the movie Jurassic Park III with Honda
Racing Team sponsor Universal Studios; a special 500th Grand Prix victory
display; star-stacked autograph sessions; a radical R&D concept display
motorcycle; off-road motorcycle demo rides for youngsters; a CBR600F4i
sweepstakes and special accommodations for members of the Honda Riders Club of
America (HRCA).

Jurassic Park III, scheduled for theatrical release on July 18, will provide a
stunning backdrop for Honda Racing as factory star Nicky Hayden and his T-Rex
emblazoned RC51 Superbike menace the field on Saturday, July 7 at Round 6 of the
AMA/Chevy Trucks U.S. Superbike Championship. Inside the Big Red Tent - Honda's
alpine tent located in the race track infield - a replica of Hayden's Jurassic
Park RC51 will be on display. Alongside Hayden's RC51 will be a replica of Honda
Racing's Jurassic Park III CR250R ridden by factory rider Ezra Lusk, July 1 at
Round 6 of the AMA Chevy Trucks U.S. Motocross Championships at Red Bud
Track-N-Trail in Buchanan, Michigan.

Honda will celebrate the remarkable achievement of 500 motorcycle Grand Prix
victories - accomplished April 8 at the legendary Suzuka racing circuit by
Nastro Azzuro Honda's Valentino Rossi - with a unique display inside the Big Red
Tent. Honda's Grand Prix success, started in Spain in 1961 by Australian Tom
Phillis on the 125cc RC143, will shine a spotlight on two special showpieces:
Freddie Spencer's 1983 championship-winning three-cylinder NS500 and the new
five-cylinder, four-stroke 2002 RC211V racing engine. Capping the celebration on
Saturday, July 7 from 11:00am to 12:00 noon, three-time world champion Spencer
will be joined by five-time world champion Mick Doohan to sign commemorative
posters honoring Honda's 500 Grand Prix victories.

Road racing fans will enjoy two additional autograph sessions under the Big Red
Tent during the race weekend. Castrol Honda's 2000 World Superbike Champion
Colin Edwards and teammate Tady Okada - in the U.S. for Round 8 of the 2001
World Superbike Championship Series - will take a break from Friday's qualifying
session to sign posters from 4:30pm to 5:30pm. Sunday morning, Honda's three AMA
road racing teams will sign autographs for racing fans between 10:30am and
11:30am. Featured racers include Universal Studios / Honda Racing factory heroes
Hayden and Miguel Duhamel; Parts Unlimited / PJ1/ Erion Honda Racing stars
Kurtis Roberts, Jake Zemke and Mark Miller; and Bruce Transportation Group
standouts Josh Hayes and Roger Lee Hayden.

Motorcycle riders who visit the Big Red Tent will delight in the premier viewing
of a new Honda concept sports motorcycle. Showcasing Honda Research America's
design and styling capabilities, this spectacular machine is sure to be the
weekend's showstopper. The display hours under the Big Red Tent are Friday 12:00
noon - 5:00pm, Saturday and Sunday 9:00am - 5:00pm.

A special treat awaits youngsters at Laguna Seca this year, as Speedvision and
HRCA partner Danny Walker (founder of American Supercamps) offer demo rides on
youth-sized off-road motorcycles. Speedvision will also host the Kids Corral, a
fun-filled amusement area offering games and children's activities. Rumor has it
that Woody Woodpecker, Team Mascot for Honda Racing, will make a special
appearance to cheer on the kids.

The Honda International Superbike Classic will feature an exciting sweepstakes
sponsored by Speedvision - with a new Honda CBR600F4i as the Grand Prize.
Sweepstakes entries will be available at the Big Red Tent and other locations.
Speedvision will provide further details at Laguna Seca.

HRCA members travelling to Laguna Seca will have special VIP parking and a "gear
check-in" near the Honda display at the Big Red Tent. A hospitality area will
also be provided for members.
