EnergyGateway Launches Its Two Newest Technology Products

COLUMBUS, Ohio--June 25, 2001--EnergyGateway.com has added two new products in response to the success of its Internet based B2B and B4B Natural Gas Marketplace.
The new products include the Electricity Marketplace, which simplifies retail and wholesale electricity commerce, and the Data Management System, which helps industrial and commercial energy consumers track and communicate energy information throughout their organization.
The Electricity Marketplace is a fully operational B2B and B4B exchange utilizing a flexible post and respond methodology to insure that both buyers and sellers can include service as part of the dynamic pricing equation. EnergyGateway participants continue to directly contract with one another and can custom design their public or private auctions.
The Data Management System allows consumers to tell the complete energy story of each facility, and then provides this critical information via any computer connected to the Internet. The Data Management System provides an effective communication medium for an entire organization, including purchasing, treasury, accounting and plant operation personnel to understand how their individual role fits into the overall company energy program.
EnergyGateway spokesperson Tyler Wooddell states, "With the chaotic price volatility, we believe every Fortune 1000 company CFO and purchasing leader should have their critical corporate energy data at their fingertips in order to proactively affect positive change and allow for constructive decision making. The Data Management System provides the toolbox to know what their company has historically spent, how much they will spend on energy in any future period and have every piece of plant energy information available in an instant from any computer. It's exciting to apply Internet technology to solve critical business needs that up until now were highly fragmented and reactive under the traditional model. We can help our customers optimally position themselves in the energy marketplace at the lowest cost and allow them to get smarter after every transaction."
