BOWMANVILLE, ON - After finishing second in each of the last two Castrol Super Series races, DJ Kennington finally broke through to victory lane by winning the 'Blue Streak presents the Mosport 250' at Mosport Int'l Raceway on Sunday afternoon. In doing so, he became the fourth different winner in as many races held so far this season.

Kennington started fifth in the field of 30 Castrol Super Series cars on the legendary Mosport road course and assumed the lead with 14 circuits to go in the 64 lap event. Following the race, the Castrol SYNTEC Intrepid driver, who lives in St. Thomas, ON, said he was just about out of gas when he took the checkered flag, just 1.844 seconds ahead of Hamilton, ON resident Jim Lapcevich.

Lapcevich was able to hold off the hard-charging Kerry Micks, who was third in his Ford Taurus. Following four rounds, Micks is the unofficial points leader in the chase for the Castrol Cup. His 608 point total is 23 better than that of Blue Streak Intrepid driver Al Turner.

The next event on the Castrol Super Series schedule is next Sunday (July 1) at Kawartha Speedway, south of Peterborough, ON. The Budweiser 150 is the fifth stop on the 12-race Castrol Super Series tour.
