27,000 Visit Rendezvous Station; Cup Cam At Buick Classic

More than 27,000 people truly went "beyond the ordinary" at Rendezvous Station in Times Square this week and left with a great first impression of Buick's all new crossover vehicle.

To mark the official launch of the 2002 Buick Rendezvous and to generate interest in the Buick Classic golf tournament at Westchester Country Club, Buick turned Times Square Studio into "Rendezvous Station" June 16 - 20.

The 27,000 saw vehicle displays, met Tiger Woods dress-a-likes, and won a variety of Buick Rendezvous/golf prizes. Additionally, more than 4,000 people took advantage of a free "photo tapestry." That attraction allowed visitors to take home pictures of themselves made up of thousands of tiny photos of the Rendezvous and Buick spokesman Woods

Rendezvous station moves to the Buick Classic this week.

Also at the Classic, broadcast on ESPN today and ABC over the weekend, ABC will introduce Cup Cam, a camera at the bottom of the cups on the 16th and 18th holes.
