Motion Industries Receives Award Given by Bethlehem Steel

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--June 22, 2001--Motion Industries is among eleven companies to receive the 2000 Premier Supplier Award given by Bethlehem Steel Corporation. The winners were chosen from more than 7000 suppliers around the world that provide Bethlehem Steel with $3 billion worth of products and services each year. The announcement was made by Bethlehem Steel's chairman, president and chief executive officer Duane R. Dunham. This is the fourth consecutive year Motion Industries has received the award.
    "It is an honor to be in this relationship with Bethlehem Steel," said Bill Stevens, Motion Industries president and CEO. "We are committed to meet and exceed performance standards for quality, service and cost at all levels."
    Bethlehem's Premier Supplier of the Year award categories include energy efficiency, risk management, maintenance, repair and operating supplies, raw materials handling, reclamation services and transportation. Motion Industries was recognized for maintenance, repair and operating supplies.
    "These suppliers represent the best of the best," said Mr. Dunham in announcing the award. "A premier supply chain is a vital element in meeting our customers' requirements for exemplary quality, service, technology and cost."
