KleenAir In Discussion to Equip U.K. Local Authority Vehicle Fleet

FULLERTON, Calif.--June 21, 2001--KleenAir Systems Inc., (OTCBB:KAIR) is in discussions with a U.K. Local Authority to equip its fleet of more than 300 vehicles with a variety of emission reduction devices.
These devices include its NOxMaster(R) NOx and particulate reduction system, its SCR/DOC catalytic converter systems and its Oxidizing Particulate Traps (OPT). The Local Authority is anxious to reduce NOx, particulates, hydrocarbon (HC) and carbon monoxide (CO) emissions generated by its fleet. This covers a wide range of vehicles from gasoline and diesel-powered passenger cars, to mid-size, 15-passenger, diesel-powered shuttle buses and heavy-duty, diesel-powered waste disposal trucks.
The company will match its various types and size of emission control devices to a vehicle inventory identifying type and size of engine and typical drive cycles. This will juxtapose the level of emission reduction with the degree of cost effectiveness for particular size and cost of vehicle.
The company is also discussing particular innovative marketing techniques that could result in a significant contribution to the cost of such a package in the event that a contract is secured.
KleenAir has a patented unique computer controlled ammonia system, the NOxMaster(R), which, when injected into the exhaust stream, interacts with NOx produced during combustion. The result converts environmentally hazardous NOx into harmless nitrogen and water.
In addition, the company's catalytic converters and Oxidizing Particulate Traps (OPT) significantly reduce particulates as well as hydrocarbons (HC) and carbon monoxide (CO).
