BARRY BOSTWICK - "Mayor Randall Winston"
A long way from his Tony-nominated performance as the legendary Danny Zuko in
the original Broadway production of Grease, Barry Bostwick has matured into the
stately, good natured, intelligent, but sometimes naive Mayor Randall Winston.
No stranger to politics, Bostwick portrayed George Washington in the epic
miniseries George Washington and won a Golden Globe for his performance as Lt.
"Lady" Aster in ABC's 30-hour presentation of War and Remembrance.
His many film credits include Weekend at Bernie's 2, Stanley Donen's Movie,
Movie, Spy Hard with Leslie Nielsen, 800 Leagues Down the Amazon, and of course,
The Rocky Horror Picture Show, in which he portrayed the quintessential young
middle American, Brad Majors. Bostwick has been very outspoken regarding his
bout with prostate cancer. On behalf of the American Cancer Society, President
Clinton presented Barry with the Courage Award in recognition of his
determination to reach others about the importance of early detection.
Bostwick resides with his wife, SherriEllen, and their two children, Brian and
Chelsea, in a historic old farmhouse in upstate New York. He is an accomplished
and talented potter, and recently built a pottery studio adjacent to his home.
His work has been sold and displayed in prominent galleries.
