Winnebago Industries Announces Executive Management Changes

    FOREST CITY, Iowa--June 20, 2001--Winnebago Industries, Inc. Board of Directors has announced the election of William J. O'Leary to serve in the position of vice president of product development at their meeting today, following the recent retirement of Ronald Buckmeier.
    Buckmeier served Winnebago Industries in product development and related activities for more than 25 years. "Due to health reasons, Ron is retiring from Winnebago Industries," said Winnebago Industries Chairman, CEO and President Bruce Hertzke. "He has been a valued member of Winnebago Industries management team. He served in the position of vice president of product development since 1997, and was instrumental in Winnebago Industries' financial and market share success through his role in the introduction of innovative new motor homes."
    "New product development will continue to be a priority for the Company," said Hertzke. "I'm very pleased to have Bill O'Leary fill this important position because of his strong background in product development, as well as his expertise in motor home design trends, market research and product sales with Winnebago Industries."
    Since joining Winnebago Industries in 1972, O'Leary has served in various management positions, including director of sales planning and distribution, director of product sales and, most recently, director of product planning.
    O'Leary holds an associate of arts degree in Liberal Arts from Iowa Central Community College, Fort Dodge, Iowa, and a bachelor of science degree in Business Administration from Mankato State College, Mankato, Minn.
