Matt Kenseth's Thoughts on Road Racing at Sears Point:
Do you anticipate a better showing this year at Sears Point?
"We tested at Sears Point in April. We learned so much about the car. We're taking a brand new car this year, and I think we should do pretty good. Before the test I would say that Sears Point and Martinsville were my worst tracks. We did well at Martinsville and I think we will be competitive this weekend."
Does testing at a road course like Sears Point give you any kind of advantage?
"Not any more than the other teams. I have always wanted to test at Sears Point and it just helped us figure out where we were at. I think it will help us as a team be more competitive, but there is not really an advantage. I believe a lot of teams have tested a road course."
Since they made some changes to the track is there more room to pass?
"Yes, they did a pretty good job on the track. There is definitely more room to pass so the racing should be a lot better."
Do you think the good finish at Pocono is the start of an upswing for this team?
"I hope so. We always want to be competitive and we have not been so far. I'd really like to see that happen for the team."
Crew Chief Robbie Reiser's Thoughts on Sears Point:
"We need to qualify well so we don't have to pit on the island. That is a real disadvantage. I agree with Matt about the test, it went really well. We were happy with our Pocono performance and hope this is the start of a competitive streak. We're here to win races and we are not too far out of the top 10 in point standings. We need to gain some points."
Spotter Mike Calinoff's Thoughts on Sears Point:
"It's important to memorize a diagram of the track so if there is a wreck you can call out the right turn and the driver knows where to look. We spot from a hill and you can see everything except for a brief blind spot. Instead of saying my usual 'inside' or 'outside' I will say either 'right side' or 'left side' . It's really not as different as one may think."

A Different Look...
The usual colors of the No. 17 DEWALT Ford Taurus will be changed this weekend. DEWALT Industrial Tools recently formed a marketing alliance with AT&T Broadband. The partnership will spotlight special AT&T Broadband paint schemes for the Dodge/Save Mart 350 at Sears Point Raceway and the Pepsi 400 at Daytona. The paint schemes for these two races will feature AT&T as the primary signage on the Roush Racing No. 17 Ford Taurus driven by Matt Kenseth. In addition to the special designed cars, AT&T will be featured underneath the DEWALT logo on the hood of the car for the duration of the season.
AT&T Broadband, a business unit of AT&T, is the nation's largest broadband services company, providing analog and digital television entertainment services to more than 15 million customers across the nation. The company also provides advanced services, such as high-speed cable Internet services and competitive local phone service. AT&T Corp. is the world's leader in telecommunications services and technology.
Today the DEWALT Power Tools line consists of over 200 electric power tools and over 800 accessories including: drills and hammer drills; screwdrivers; circular, chop, miter, table, reciprocating, and jig saws; planers; impact wrenches; die, angle, and bench grinders; shears; nibblers; sanders; laminate trimmers; routers, and plate joiners. This year will be an exciting time for DEWALT as it offers its largest product launch ever -- even greater than the initial product line introduction.
No rest for the weary...
