Saturn Donates Child Safety Seats To Children's Hospital Of Michigan

TROY, Mich. - In what's become an annual tradition, Saturn Corporation will again donate 100 child safety seats to Children's Hospital of Michigan, located in Detroit, as part of its ongoing commitment to child vehicle safety. The donation is a follow-up to the safety seat inspection events Saturn retailers held last month with its UAW partners and The Safe Kids Coalition. Over 1,0000 people in Michigan participated and learned to properly install child safety seats. This is the second consecutive year Saturn donated child safety seats to the hospital.

"We know that when correctly installed, child safety seats and safety belts can prevent injury and save lives," says Susan McCarthy, Saturn market area manager. "By donating the seats to Children's Hospital, we are making this very important safety device available to those who may not otherwise have one for their child's use."

Saturn Corporation entered the automotive market in 1990, bringing a new level of customer service to automotive retailing. It was created through a unique partnership between General Motors and the UAW. Saturn and its retailers, represented by 440 facilities, share a strong focus on customer service.
