Prolong International Announces Breakthrough Fuels Technology Agreement
IRVINE, Calif.--June 19, 2001--Prolong International Corp. (AMEX:PRL) today announced that it has taken a strategic ownership interest in a newly formed corporation. The new corporation owns the patent-pending rights to a broad spectrum of formulations that can dramatically enhance the combustion performance of various fossil fuels.
Prolong Environmental Energy Corp. ("PEEC" or "Prolong Energy") presently has patents pending on fossil fuel additive formulas that create higher energy output from gasoline and diesel fuels while simultaneously burning cleaner, and most importantly, can be delivered at a cost-effective market price.
PEEC's mission is to commercialize its proprietary fuel additive formulations by moving beyond the testing phase, which has been extensive, and into product sales.
An agreement with PEEC gives Prolong Super Lubricants Inc. unique access to green-science fuel additive technology which Prolong plans to develop into new consumer retail products under its Fast-Fuel(TM) brand. Prolong Super Lubricant products are currently in distribution through broad automotive channels, including Wal-Mart, Target, AutoZone, CSK, Pep Boys, NAPA and thousands of auto parts retailers.
"The performance attributes of our patented Prolong Engine Treatment is what made Prolong(R) a household name in the world of automotive chemicals," said Elton Alderman, chairman and president.
"The test results we have seen on PEEC's fuel formulations lead management to believe that there is great potential to introduce heretofore non-commercialized technology and once again add value not only to the company, but to the environment and the consumer.
"Prolong's management believes that shareholder value flows from delivering quality products. We have great expectations of delivering dramatic, cost-saving products to the automotive consumer with this technology."
"There also exists significant potential for commercializing PEEC's fuel additive formulations at the industrial level," added Thomas C. Billstein, COO, "especially in the area of assisting oil refineries in operating more cost effectively as they struggle to meet ever stringent environmental regulations."
