ANC's Hall Honored By Computerworld Magazine; IT Executive Selected As One of Top 100
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--June 15, 2001--Rickie Hall, vice president and chief information officer at ANC Rental Corporation , was recently named as one of Computerworld magazine's Premiere 100 IT Leaders for 2001. The magazine annually honors industry leaders who have had a positive impact on their organization through technology.Joining ANC Rental Corporation in March 2000, Ms. Hall is responsible for all aspects of information technology including strategic planning, new business/product development and vendor relations. Under her leadership, her group developed several successful initiatives to improve revenue and control costs from an IT perspective. A key focus has been on enhancing the customer experience, whether it is bypassing the counter using QuickRent on http://alamo.com or using One-Click on http://nationalcar.com to speed transaction time.
"Success in any leadership position is obtained quicker by actions than words alone. Leading by example has proven itself time and again," said Hall.
Hall has been in the hospitality/travel industry for close to twenty years. Prior to her current position, Ms. Hall was vice president of hotel information technology for Hilton Hotel Corporation and was responsible for hotel level systems for more then 1,900 locations. During this tenure, Ms. Hall was profiled in CIO magazine as one of that publication's IT Women Leaders in Technology. She also held key technology positions at Harrah's Entertainment where she was instrumental in creating the gaming industry's first national customer repository for improving marketing capabilities.
