Roadway Express Honored by Mitsubishi as 2000 Vendor of the Year

    AKRON, Ohio--June 15, 2001--Roadway Express, Inc. was recognized as "2000 Vendor of the Year -- Less-than-Truckload Category," by Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America, Inc., (MDEA) Traffic Department. Also honored by MDEA were Mark Hertel, corporate account executive, and Michelle Baitx, administrative assistant, both with Roadway.
    Hertel accepted both the "2000 Vendor of the Year Eagle Award" on behalf of Roadway, as well as the "Company Representative Eagle Award" for himself, from Dana Vincent, Corporate Transportation Manager of MDEA, at a ceremony on May 18, at Roadway's Western Division offices in Pomona, CA. Baitx was also recognized with the "Associate Eagle Award."
