    PLYMOUTH, Mich., June 15 Hideki Takase, AP Technoglass
Vice President of Sales And Marketing, has announced the promotion of Douglas
D. Nouse to Vice President Domestic Sales from Vice President of Business
Planning, a position he has held since joining the company last year. The
appointment is effective immediately.

    Nouse will develop and direct the automotive glass manufacturer's national
OEM programs in support of the AP Technoglass Total Solutions strategy: a
unique set of cross functional capabilities designed to clearly identify and
fulfill customer requirements. Total Solutions has been described as the
marketing counterpart to production's agile manufacturing.
    "Doug brings more than 26 years of production, sales and global marketing
experience, plus a Bachelors degree in chemistry from Wittenburg University
and an MBA from Michigan State University to his new assignment," Takase said,
adding: "He is well known throughout the greater Detroit automotive community.
Doug's accumulated skills, experience and long standing relationships will
enhance our company's position among domestic OEM's moving forward."
    AP Technoglass Company, an affiliate of Asahi Glass America, manufactures
automotive glass and glazing assemblies in Ohio, Kentucky and Mexico for
domestic and export markets.
