PPG Honors 10 Firms as Excellent Suppliers
PITTSBURGH--June 13, 2001--PPG Industries has recognized 10 suppliers for extraordinary performance in 2000.Margaret H. McGrath, vice president of purchasing and distribution, said PPG's Excellent Supplier Awards are based on ratings for quality, delivery, documentation, innovation, responsiveness and commercial value. Participation in the company's Supplier Added Value Effort ($AVE), as well as other continuous improvements, play an increasingly important role in earning the awards.
The firms receiving 2000 Excellent Supplier Awards, and the products and services they supply, were:
