Goodwrench Service Center Offers Competitive Pricing

Grand Blanc, Mich. -General Motors Service Parts Operations (SPO) has selected Madison, Wisconsin as the location of a new Goodwrench Service Center. The new 12,000-square-foot Goodwrench Service Center is hosting a grand opening celebration June 14-16. Festivities include free hotdogs and pop along with the exhibition of two #3 racecars that had been driven by Dale Earnhardt in NASCAR events at Daytona International Speedway and in Japan.

The state's first Goodwrench Service Center, owned and operated by local GM dealers, Mike and Tom Zimbrick, is a stand-alone facility which provides a menu of customer-pay maintenance and light repair services at a competitive price for all makes and models. "What's special about our facility is that we provide full-vehicle service that is in tune with our customer's needs," said Bob Fischer, general manager of the Goodwrench Service Center. "No matter what you drive, we most likely will be able to service it."

When visiting the Goodwrench Service Center, consumers will be treated to a comfortable waiting room with a television and reading materials, work areas complete with phone and modem hook-ups, complimentary beverages and a children's play area. As with all Goodwrench Service Centers, the location at 611 Junction Road - at Old Sauk Rd. and the Beltline, is convenient and offers extended business hours.

"This is an idea that mixes the quality of a dealership operation with the convenience of an aftermarket operation, " says John Putnam of GM Service Parts Operations brand team.

The Goodwrench Service Center provides one-stop shopping for individual service jobs such as transmission service, cooling systems, engine maintenance, tune-ups, and batteries and charging systems. A Goodwrench Quick Lube facility is nearby to provide consumers the ultimate in convenience for oil change service.

"By servicing all makes and models, we have every expectation that this Goodwrench Service Center will prove to be a big hit with customers," said Putnam. "Especially since this service center is designed to offer what we believe are the two most important things to consumers - convenience and trust."

The Goodwrench Service Center targets owners of 4-to-10-year-old GM vehicles and non-GM vehicles outside their warranty period.

New and used vehicle warranty work will continue to be done exclusively by dealerships. All work at the Goodwrench Service Center will be warranty-covered for at least 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Currently there are three Goodwrench Service Centers already opened in Houston, Texas, Grand Rapids, Michigan and Florence, Kentucky.
