Problems for Law at Mid-Ohio
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Lexington, Ohio (June 6, 2001) - Despite #81 Motorola/Commscope/G&W Motorsports driver Darren Law's strong efforts, the Porsche GT3-RS finished fifth at the ConAgra U.S. Road Racing Classic on Sunday.
"We had a really tough race," Law said. "Our first pit stop was long due to a problem with our safety belts."
In addition to the slow pit stop, the #81 got tangled with the #11 AGT car causing right rear damage to the Porsche GT3-RS, which caused an unscheduled pit stop.
"We are just happy to finish the race with no real damage to the car," Law said. "We are concentratinig on our main goal, which is the team championship."
Law and the G&W Motorsports team will next be competing at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, the first week in July.
