Mitchell International Adds Decision Point Medical Analyst Module to Mitchell University -- the Online Learning Center
SAN DIEGO--June 12, 2001--Mitchell International today announced the availability of online training for users of Mitchell Medical's Decision Point(R) Medical Analyst.
The training modules, which are available 24 hours a day, can be found at Mitchell University -- The Online Learning Center -- at www.mitchellu.com.
Medical Analyst, the powerful bill review software application included in the Decision Point suite of products, helps insurance companies to detect billing and coding errors, ensures coding conventions, applies statutory rules and guidelines and provides benchmarks for usual and customary fees, without ever challenging the efficacy of medical care and judgment. Medical Analyst can be successfully implemented and supported by non-medical claims personnel.
"Using the Internet, Mitchell delivers learner-based education that really works," said Tom McCarthy, Mitchell Medical Senior Vice President/General Manager. "Mitchell University allows Medical Analyst users to get the training they want at any time from their own office or home. And it can save our customers thousands of dollars previously spent sending employees to central training sites."
The Medical Analyst Web-based training covers all major features of the product. It is designed in manageable 15- to 20-minute modules covering 25 different topics. All trainees log into the university with their own registration code. Each topic includes a demonstration and practice test that can be taken as often as desired. Once three final tests have been completed with at least a 90 percent score, trainees may print out a certificate identifying them as certified Medical Analyst users.
"Mitchell University allows supervisors to quickly bring both existing employees and new hires up to speed on Medical Analyst without having to wait for a formal training seminar," McCarthy said. "These interactive training modules are really exceptional education programs."
Mitchell University, which began online training last year with UltraMate, the first Windows-based estimating system for automotive collision repair shops, will add more online courses throughout the year.
For customers seeking more traditional learning opportunities, Mitchell Medical will continue to offer real-time training by a company trainer via the telephone and conduct training seminars throughout the United States.
