Digital Motorworks Announces Major Expansion Plan
AUSTIN, Texas--June 11, 2001--Digital Motorworks (DMi), a leading provider of information management solutions for the automotive industry, today announced a major expansion of its North American business operations.The company's president and CEO, Ron Hardy, said the Austin-based firm plans to:
-- | Forge a strategic alliance with Aon Corporation, a Fortune 500 provider of insurance and human-capital consulting solutions, to strengthen its position in the auto sector and solve data integration problems in the insurance industry, |
-- | Introduce a new version of its highly successful automotive information management solution during the third quarter, |
-- | Work with Accenture, a global management and technology consulting firm, to expand DMi's position in the auto industry, and |
-- | Launch a corporate marketing and identity program that will include a rebranding of the company's existing solutions. |
The DMi executive said AON Corporation has made a significant investment in Digital Motorworks to facilitate the company's expansion not only in the automotive market, but in other markets as well as.
He said the company expects its revenue and profitability to more than double during the coming year. "We plan to roll out a new version of our highly successful information management solution for the auto industry, called InfoIQ, within the next four months," Hardy noted.
"DMi is North America's leading provider of information management solutions that support the e-commerce initiatives of major automotive dealer groups, as well as OEM and independent automotive portals. We expect the new version of InfoIQ to help us further strengthen our dominant position in this important market segment."
Hardy said the company also has signed an agreement with Accenture to develop programs to help automotive manufacturers, automotive Internet portals and large dealer groups extract, transform and enhance dealer management system (DMS) data - a long-standing problem for the industry. He added that DMi's alliance with Accenture also will help the company further expand its automotive customer base, not only in North America but throughout the world.
He reported that DMi also is launching a major corporate identity program that will include a branding effort to support the further expansion of the company's product-and-service offerings and a new corporate logo.
