GenesisIntermedia Included in Preliminary Russell 2000 List

    LOS ANGELES--June 11, 2001--GenesisIntermedia, Inc. (Frankfurt:GIA) announced today that it has learned that it has been included among the companies on the first preliminary lists of companies being added to the Russell 2000(R) Index.
    Russell's stock indexes, such as the Russell 1000(R), Russell 2000(R), and Russell 3000(R), are recognized as objective, market-based benchmarks for evaluating investment managers. The US indexes (now encompassing 21 distinct benchmarks) were initiated in 1982, and today they are used as investment models for more than $180 billion in investment assets.
