JOHNNY BENSON, NO. 10 VALVOLINE PONTIAC GRAND PRIX:

"I'm real happy. I think we had a top-three race car. But, I got a really bad vibration and I just didn't want to take a chance. I elected to come in and of course, with the way our luck has been the last couple weeks, the yellow came out. That put us a lap down.

"But, I'm real proud of the guys. We finished on the lead lap. It probably could have been a lot worse than what it was."

(COULD YOU HAVE STILL OVERCOME YOUR UNSCHEDULED STOP WITHOUT ANOTHER CAUTION?) "If it had stayed green we would have been OK. We didn't want to pit then, but we had to. It was just a deal that if it had stayed green it probably would have worked out OK. I would have been happy with it, but the yellow came and that put us way behind."
