O'Melveny & Myers LLP Represented Toyota Motor Credit in Global Offering

    LOS ANGELES, June 8 A team of O'Melveny & Myers lawyers,
including David Johnson, Daniel Dunn, Luc Mortiz, Patrick Ross, Fran Lossing,
Diane Mage Roberts, and Matt Fojut, represented Nomura Securities and Daiwa
Securities SMBC Europe Limited, as lead managers for the Toyota Motor Credit
Corporation 50,000,000,000 yen (approximately U.S. $414 million) Notes due
2008 Offering.  The Global Offering of Notes closed simultaneously in London
and Los Angeles on June 8, 2001.  The Notes have been approved for listing on
the Luxembourg Stock Exchange.
 
   David Johnson, a partner in O'Melveny's Los Angeles office and Co-Chair of
the firm's Capital Markets practice comments, "We are seeing a rapid increase
in activity in the capital markets, particularly for more established issuers.
The volume of debt and convertible debt issues has also increased."
