AMA introduces Top Gun Competition at
Crossroads Rally
PICKERINGTON, Ohio -- Think you're a good rider? Now you can prove it at
the inaugural AMA Crossroads Rally, July 16-19, where the first-ever AMA Top Gun
competition will offer a chance to test your low-speed motorcycling skills
against other riders from around the country.
The AMA Top Gun rider program was created to promote safety and awareness
on the road through practice of defensive and evasive riding techniques in a
controlled situation, amid the fun of competition with fellow riders.
Challenging individual riders to demonstrate their skills, the AMA Top Gun
motorcycle rider competition will award the winners the coveted title of AMA Top
Gun. Entrants will be divided into three displacement classes and will be
evaluated by a team of certified MSF Instructors from Motorcycle Ohio and the
AMA staff.
The competition will take place at the Ashland County Fairgrounds on July
18 during the rally. There is no cost to enter, other than the Crossroads Rally
registration, and you may enter as many different bikes as you like. You will
have only one circuit on the course per bike.
If you think you have what it takes, and you want to have bragging rights
at being the first AMA Top Gun, then attend the AMA Crossroads Rally July 16-19,
and show us your stuff.
