FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WOODSIDE AND TEAM WALKER MOTORSPORTS
JOIN SOUTHWEST SERIES AT IRWINDALE THIS SATURDAY

June 7, 2001 (North Hollywood, Calif.) - Sean Woodside, driver of the #45
Team Walker/Ron's Rear Ends/NAPA Chevrolet in the NASCAR Winston West
Series, and the team will take advantage of an off-weekend in the Winston
West by joining the Featherlite Southwest Series, NASCAR Touring this
Saturday at Irwindale (Calif.) Speedway for the Food 4 Less 150.

Woodside was a full-time contender in the Southwest Series in the 2000
season, notching one win, four top-five and eight top-ten finishes.

He has collected three consecutive top-five finishes and one Bud Pole Award
in the Winston West series so far this season.

Woodside finished third in the Winston West's first visit to Irwindale this
season after an impressive run for the win. In that event, he was in second
place and closing in to retake the lead with seven laps to go when he and a
lapped car made contact, spinning him out and bringing out the caution flag.
Woodside restarted in sixth place and finished third in the
green-white-checkered finish.

"This Saturday's race will be fun. We won't have the pressure of a points
battle, and it will also give us an opportunity to get some more laps in at
Irwindale," said Woodside. "I learned last year how tough the Southwest
Series can be, so this will give us even more of an edge when the Winston
West comes back to Irwindale. I have to thank my team owner, Donna Walker,
for putting this together."

Woodside and team co-owner Mike Walker are also regulars in this year's
Super Late Model program at Irwindale. Woodside has one win to his credit,
and is currently third in the championship race. Woodside led the points
earlier in the season.

The Winston West visits Irwindale Speedway next on Saturday, July 21.
