Delphi's INTELLEK(R) Humidity Sensor Honored at Sensors Expo 2001

CHICAGO, June 7 Delphi Automotive Systems'
INTELLEK(R) Humidity Sensor has earned a "Best of Sensors Expo" award by
Sensors Magazine.

The INTELLEK Humidity Sensor was recognized Wednesday as one of the best
new products and technologies that show the strongest potential for
significant impact on sensor technology. It was chosen, according to the
editors, because it is "a distinct new product with innovative applications."
This is the second year in a row Delphi has been honored with this industry
award.

Under development for automotive systems, the INTELLEK Humidity Sensor can
help improve fuel economy and reduce emissions. It contains a capacitive-type
sensing element designed to measure relative humidity, or the measure of the
moisture level of the surrounding air. It delivers accurate measurement of
relative humidity, which can help improve the accuracy and efficiency of HVAC
and engine management systems.

"We are pleased with the recognition of this important technology. In all
of our components, we're hoping to develop a building-block type of
technology, allowing us to adjust our packaging to fit specific manufacturer
requirements," said Tim King, component engineer, Delphi Packard Electric
Systems.

Delphi's engineers have been developing a multifunction sensor for the
HVAC system that integrates the INTELLEK Humidity Sensor with a glass-
temperature-sensing element. Delphi's Integrated Dew Point Glass Temperature
(IDGT) sensor is the missing piece for proactive automatic climate control
systems to help prevent fog formation on the windshield.

Delphi is establishing itself as a leading sensor supplier to several
industries because of its broad portfolio of products and competencies,
diverse engineering teams and accomplished research and development teams.
Many of Delphi's INTELLEK sensors and actuators are featured in the Delphi
display at this year's Sensors Expo, including:
