BorgWarner Cooling Systems Names Roberts Vice President of Engineering

    MARSHALL, Mich., June 7 BorgWarner Cooling Systems has
promoted Carl Roberts to the position of Vice President of Engineering.  His
new responsibilities will include all development and application engineering
activities for Cooling Systems' commercial and automotive markets.

    "Carl's extensive and distinguished career in the automotive industry
fully supports the BorgWarner product leadership strategy," said John J.
McGill, BorgWarner Cooling Systems President and General Manager.

    Prior to Roberts' most recent appointment, he held the position of
Automotive Engineering Director, responsible for all engineering activities
for light vehicle cooling systems.  His experience also includes a succession
of leadership positions with Eaton, before BorgWarner's 1999 acquisition of
the Eaton Fluid Power Division.  Mr. Roberts holds a bachelor's degree in
Mechanical Engineering technology and a master's degree in business
administration, both from Western Michigan University.

    BorgWarner Cooling Systems, a BorgWarner operating group, is a global
provider of engine cooling solutions.  The group manufactures and markets air
sensing and coolant sensing fan drives that can be mechanically or
electronically controlled and also manufactures and markets both polymer and
metal fan blades and air control shutters for engine cooling systems.
